Scott Smith - President

Owner/Broker: Scott grew up in Knoxville, attending Bearden High School and graduated from the University of Tennessee as an economics major. He worked in construction as a youth and worked at UPS while attending UT. After graduation, he worked as a real estate broker for Volunteer Realty, a company his father founded in 1962. In addition to selling real estate, he began building homes and developing land during the ten years he worked at Volunteer Realty.

After selling the family business, he went to work with Holrob Investments, a company specializing in retail and commercial development. He worked as a site locator and developer for a year. He then reacquired Volunteer Realty and began a development company, S&E Properties, with the long-time friend Eric Moseley. Since then, S&E Properties has successfully developed over 16 residential subdivisions containing over 1,000 lots, all in West Knoxville. They now specialize in developing residential land in West Knoxville for subdivisions and have a strong following in the building community.

Kaye Bacon - Office Manager

Office Manager: Kaye has over ten years experience in the real estate business. She has ran two title companies and been office manager for three prominent real estate companies in Knoxville. Her stated goal at Volunteer Realty is to help in restarting the most well-respected and most ethical real estate company in East Tennessee.

LaVance Davis

Buyer's Agent: An East Tennessee native, LaVance has twenty years experience in real estate development and sales. Serving as a buyer's agent gives LaVance the opportunity to help first-time buyers, as well as older people looking for homes to meet their retirement needs. Simplifying the buying and selling processes and providing 110% customer service are LaVance's goals.

Tracey Harrigan

Agent: Tracey Harrigan has joined Volunteer Realty as a licensed real estate agent.  Tracey has been living in Knoxville for the past seven years with her family.  She is married to Ken Harrigan, the owner of Harrigan Construction Co., LLC, a custom and speculative homebuilder in the west Knoxville area.  Tracey and Ken have three daughters: Kathleen, 9, Minnie 7 and Hayes 3.  Tracey attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and graduated with a B.S. degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.  For the past three years, Tracey has managed the accounting and administrative functions of Harrigan Construction.  Tracey previously worked in the insurance and healthcare industry at Childern’s Healthcare of Atlanta (formerly known as Scottish Rite Children’s Medical Center).   Tracey intends to sell both new construction and resale homes in west Knoxville.

Randall Hickman

Agent: Randall grew up in East Knox County, attending Carter High School. He graduated from the University of Tennessee as an advertising major.  After graduation, he moved to Nashville as an outside sales rep in telecommunications. He returned to Knoxville in 2004 in sales for business communications. He has been married to his wife Kerri for three years, and they are expecting their first child.  Randall is an active member in his church and youth department.  He is excited about his career in real estate and working with Volunteer Realty.  He looks forward to assisting clients with all of their Real Estate needs.

Megan Jackson

Agent: Megan Jackson, a former Lady Vol for the Track and Field team, earned a BS in Business Marketing from the University of Tennessee and received an MBA with a concentration in Marketing from Middle Tennessee State University. As a Lady Vol, Megan was recognized for her community involvement with the Knox County schools and civic groups in the area.

Megan began her career at the Tennessee Valley Authority as a Financial Analyst managing marketing initiatives for TVA's Financial and Corporate Identity organizations. In addition, she was the owner of Jackson Photography, a successful wedding, family, and special events photography business in the Knoxville area. 

Combining her marketing experience, professionalism, and personal attention to every detail, Megan is excited to begin her real estate career with Volunteer Realty. She is a member of the Knoxville Association of Realtors, the Tennessee Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.

Kim Lacey

Agent: Kim is relatively new to the Knoxville area having relocated in 2004 from Las Vegas , NV . Kim is married to her high school sweetheart, Andrew and they have 2 daughters, Alexis and Alaina. She and her family reside in West Knoxville. She is a graduate from The University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree, and started her career as a Senior Claims Adjuster specializing in casualty legal defense. Her skills as an expert negotiator will serve her clients well in the negotiation process. After starting a family, Kim chose to take time away from her career to raise her children. During that time, she successfully started and ran several chapters of a national non-profit organization serving stay-at-home mothers. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to start an online children's boutique where she used her design skills to make custom children's gifts and accessories.

After relocating to Knoxville , she sold her business and decided to pursue her life-long passion of real estate. Kim thrives on challenge, and has found over the years in her personal experience that the real estate industry offers plenty of them. She understands the value of customer service and is committed to providing the best service to all clients and customers. Kim is a member of the Knoxville Association of Realtors as well as the National Association of Realtors.

F. Gilbert (Gil) Levison

Broker: Born in Atlanta, Georgia, moved to Knoxville in 1949 with his parents, Gil graduated from West High School in May 1955. He attended the University of Georgia and the University of Tennessee, with a major in accounting and a minor in business administration.

Gil was a member of the Tennessee Air National Guard and served on active duty with 134th Fighter Squadron, U.S. Air Force, during the Berlin Crisis.

He has held an active Tennessee Broker's License since July, 1971. Has experience in developing single family subdivisions, multi-family developments, retail properties, shopping centers, and warehouse, and office warehouses. For years he has leased and managed a number of commercial properties.

Gil also holds an active Broker's License from the State of Florida.

Chris McReynolds

Agent: Chris is the son of John A. McReynolds, Jr. and Roselyn Marie Ganser. He grew up in Knoxville and attended Webb School of Knoxville, Southern Methodist University, and the University of Tennessee.

He worked in the roofing industry for the last fifteen years, as an estimator and foreman, and later owned and operated his own roofing business for the last seven years. Chris is a Licensed Real Estate Agent.

He has twenty-five years of management experience in operations, human resources, and the general business of manufacturing companies. He has been active at Knox Youth Sports, coaching various youth sports teams for fifteen years.

Jeremy Pearson

Agent:  Jeremy, an East Tennessee native, grew up in the Town of Madisonville and has resided in Knoxville for many years. As a University of Tennessee graduate, he earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design (minoring in Business Administration) and a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning. While earning his MSP degree, he concentrated in land use and real estate development. Jeremy has over six years of governmental experience in city planning and development and holds the American Institute of Certified Planners designation (AICP).

Jack Piper, Sr.

Agent: Jack is a native of North Carolina where he attended Elon College. In 1972 he transferred to Knoxville. He worked as a field sales representative for a multi-national business machines manufacturer, calling on major corporations, local, state, and federal government agencies, as well as local businesses. He has thirteen years of experience helping his clients buy and sell real estate in the Knoxville area.

He specializes in all aspects of the real estate market. However, most of his sales activity is in commercial real estate and vacant land, working with both buyers and sellers.
